2019 Restaurant Dinners (at the Restaurant) 

Enjoy a restaurant dinner featuring Kurlbaum's Heirloom Tomatoes and specially prepared food, good drink and company.  During the evening you'll be treated to presentations from the Chef describing the food as well as tomato history and lore from the Kurlbaum family.

 July 29 (Monday) 7:00 pm at Jasper's  Restaurant--The Supper Club featuring Kurlbaum's Heirloom Tomatoes

August 6 (Tuesday), 6:00 pm--Chicken N Pickle benefiting Homes from the Heart

Added to our tomato dinner venues is a place we know all of our Kurlbaum Tomaniacs (tm) will find as one of the most fun.  If you haven't been to Chicken N Pickle, you are truly missing  all the excitement (and playing Pickle Ball with your friends!).  Located in North Kansas City (Northtown) this event will feature one of the best young Chefs in the City!  This event benefits Homes from the Heart, an amazing organization that builds sustainable communities in Central America and Haiti! To make a reservation, please contact Chicken N Pickle at (816) 537-1400.  

August 8 (Thursday), 6:00 pm AND NOW, AN ADDITIONAL DINNER ON AUGUST 9 (Friday), 6:00 PM DUE TO QUICK SELL-OUT OF THE THURSDAY DINNER--Chef Michael Smith's Farina Restaurant Annual Tomato and Wine Dinner

These events feature James Beard Award Winning Chef Michael Smith and a guest celebrity Chef.  Michael brings his creative culinary skills to the table at his beautiful Farina restaurant in the Cross Roads.  Last year's event was another big event selling out the entire restaurant.  His dishes are carefully paired with wines from renowned wineries.  For reservations go soon to michaelsmithkc.com.  Also, see below for information about Michael Smith as guest chef at our farm to table dinner on August 3, 2019.

 2019 Kurlbaum Farm to Table Dinners (at our Farm)

Enjoy a tour of our tomato farm from Liz Kurlbaum ("Tomato Lady") before dinner and the history of tomatoes and other tomato lore by Tomato Sommelier, Sky Kurlbaum.  Then  get served a Chef prepared dinner by a local celebrity chef using local ingredients including, of course, Kurlbaum's Heirloom Tomatoes fresh from the garden along with whatever else is currently in season.  You'll be having dinner by 6:00 and be back home by 9:30 but have the time of your culinary life in between, guaranteed.  Prices are all inclusive (dinner, wine, gratuity and all the fun extras including for most events, live entertainment, but taxes not included).  In previous years, every dinner sold out and we had over 500 guests, so save the dates, invite some friends and make your reservations early for a dinner experience you'll never forget!

July 30 (Tuesday), 6:00 pm--Jasper Mirabile  

The famous Jasper Mirabile from Jasper’s Restaurant will bring his best again this year for a great night of food, information and entertainment including his demonstration of making mozzarella cheese right at the table to be served with our Kurlbaum’s Heirloom Tomatoes.  Don't miss it!  Go to Store for tickets.

Chris Foster:

Chris has been performing professionally for 26 years. To date he has performed over 5000 gigs for Such clients as Walt Disney World, Ritz Carlton Resorts, The American Red Cross and many many more.  In 2006 Chris and co-writer Stacey Knights won the American Idol Underground songwriting competition (jazz category) with the song titled "Morning Monk".  Also in 2006 Chris won the Liberty Missouri Performing Arts New Artist Showcase.  In 2003 he was recognized by the Government of Key West Florida for his Composition titled "Storm of the Century" and his musical depiction of the 1935 Labor Day Hurricane.  In 2002 His song "Palma De Mallorca" was recognized by the King of Spain. He is noted for his great skill of guitar playing that is showcased on his Christmas CD and his Back To Brazil CD.

Nicki Scruggs:

Nicki Scruggs (born July 9th, 1992 in Kansas City, MO) is an alternative, blues and R&B singer/songwriter and guitarist. She often holds comparisons of Bonnie Raitt, Norah Jones and ZZ Ward. Influences range from Incubus to Prince to Raitt herself.  Nicki was an American Idol Hollywood contestant in 2011 and is now promoting her 7 song EP that was recorded in Kansas City and Muscle Shoals, AL.
